You can adopt the way of genius with only three simple steps. We’ll get to those. But first, the general method of genius:
Listen to new things.
Explore new things.
Learn new things.
Test new things.
Experiment with new things.
Turn things upside down and inside out. Dismantle them methodically — or haphazardly. Rearrange the parts. Allow your intuition to eliminate parts, to mix in other parts, or add parts.
Explore new possibilities.
Ask “What if?”
Ask, “How can this be made more simple? More functional? More useful? More beautiful? More delightful? More sustainable? More accessible?”
Incorporate and integrate new things. Adopt and adapt new things.
Take what works from all this and make it your own. Make it so you that no one else can claim it.
That’s the way of the artist. That’s how artists evolve.
It’s also the way of the inventor, and the way of the scientist, and the way of creative genuis.
How can you become more genius like?
1. Explore: To what extent do you encourage this Way of the Artist, Way of the Scientist, Way of Creative Genius in your life and dealings? In your nature?
2. Consider: To what extent do you suppress it? And when?
3. Allow: Permit yourself to begin noticing ways and opportunities for you to effectively allow it more room and rein.
