I used to have a folder in my Thunderbird email inbox that says:
Action
Recenty, Action is where I put things that need acting on - but, more than likely, I let things ferment there as well. But I realized this weekend I need to fork it so now I have 2 folders.
Action - stuff that needs to be acted on but won’t bring immediate results to the bottom line.
Action - Money - stuff that needs to be done and will bring about income to the business.
I guess it is obvious but still a useful filter for me to see how much stuff I really need to do and what will really impact the business.
